Terms and Conditions

Welcome to Monetary Diversity. By engaging our services, you agree to the following terms and conditions.

1. Nature of Services

Monetary Diversity provides one-time consulting services to individuals and organizations on topics related to money systems, complementary currencies, community currencies, and related educational matters.

We do not offer financial, investment, legal, or trading advice. Our services are strictly consultative and educational.

2. Clients

We work with both individuals and organizations. Each engagement is treated on a case-by-case basis to meet specific needs.

3. Payment Terms

Fees are communicated and agreed upon in advance.

Invoices are payable within 30 days and may be settled in either:

  • Euros (EUR)
  • Val’heureux (a recognized local currency)
    Payment methods and currency must be agreed upon before the session. Late payments may incur reminder fees.

4. Cancellations

Consultations may be cancelled or rescheduled with at least 24 hours’ notice.

Cancellations made with less than 24 hours' notice may be subject to a fee of up to 50% of the agreed service cost.

5. Confidentiality

All client information shared during the consultation is kept confidential. No information will be disclosed to third parties without prior consent, except as required by law.

6. Intellectual Property

Materials, tools, and content shared during consultations remain the intellectual property of Monetary Diversity unless otherwise agreed in writing. Clients are granted a non-transferable right to use them for internal purposes only.

7. Limitation of Liability

Monetary Diversity is not liable for any decisions or outcomes resulting from the use of our consulting services. Clients accept full responsibility for their actions following the consultation.

8. Termination

Either party may terminate the consulting relationship at any time. Services delivered up to the point of termination remain payable.

9. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of Belgium. Any disputes shall fall under the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Liège.



Terms and Conditions of Sale — Monetary Diversity Gathering 2 (MDG2)

These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern the sale and use of tickets for the Monetary Diversity Gathering 2 ("MDG2" or "the Event"), taking place October 23-25, 2026 at La Tricoterie, Brussels, Belgium. The Event is organized by Nicolas Franka, trading as Monetary Diversity ("the Organizer", "we", "us"), Rue Quai sur Meuse 19, 4000 Liège, enterprise number 0793.703.884.


By purchasing a ticket, the purchaser ("you", "the Participant") accepts these Terms in full.

1. Tickets and Pricing

1.1. Tickets are sold at the prices displayed at the time of purchase, inclusive of applicable VAT unless stated otherwise.


1.2. Pricing tiers (early bird, full rate, social rate) are as published on the registration page at the time of booking. The Organizer reserves the right to modify pricing, close tiers, or limit the availability of the social rate at any time, including in response to sponsorship levels or seat availability, without prior notice.


1.3. Social rate tickets require a short, justified request from the applicant. The Organizer reserves sole discretion to approve or reject social rate applications.


1.4. Travel fee compensation, where applicable, is subject to separate confirmation and is not guaranteed by ticket purchase.

2. Right to Refuse Admission

2.1. The Organizer reserves the right to refuse registration, refuse entry, or remove any person from the Event, at its sole discretion and without obligation to provide justification, including but not limited to cases of:


  • Conduct that disrupts the Event or endangers other participants, staff, or speakers;
  • Provision of false or misleading information during registration;
  • Non-payment or failed payment;
  • Conduct inconsistent with the professional and collaborative purpose of the Event.


2.2. Where a Participant is refused entry for reasons attributable to their own conduct, no refund will be issued.

3. Tickets, Cancellations and Refunds

3.1. Tickets are issued via email and include a barcode for entry. Confirmation is sent immediately upon purchase.


3.2. Tickets are personal. Identification may be required at entry to verify that the holder matches the name on the ticket.


3.3. A full refund is available within 14 days of purchase, provided the request is made before the Event date. Requests must be sent to info@monetarydiversity.org.


3.4. If the Event is cancelled by the Organizer, all ticket holders will receive a full refund.


3.5. Tickets cannot be transferred to another individual unless approved by the Organizer, via a specific request to info@monetarydiversity.org.


3.6. Event changes. The Organizer reserves the right to modify the programme, speakers, schedule, or venue for reasons beyond its reasonable control, and will make reasonable efforts to inform Participants of material changes.


3.7. The Organizer reserves the right to cancel any ticket sale at its discretion.

4. Liability

4.1. Participation in the Event, including all sessions, networking activities, meals, and any related travel, is at the Participant's own risk. The Organizer makes no warranty as to the fitness, safety, or suitability of the venue, speakers, or activities beyond its direct control.


4.2. The Organizer's liability, in any and all circumstances, is limited strictly to cases of proven gross negligence or intentional misconduct directly attributable to the Organizer, and in no case shall exceed the price paid for the ticket giving rise to the claim.


4.3. The Organizer is not liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages of any kind, including but not limited to loss of business, loss of opportunity, loss of data, reputational harm, or travel, accommodation, or related costs, regardless of whether the Organizer was advised of the possibility of such damages.


4.4. The Organizer is not liable for the content of talks, opinions expressed by speakers, or actions of third-party sponsors, exhibitors, or other Participants at the Event, nor for disruptions to Participants' travel or journey to or from the Event, nor for any act or omission of the venue provider.


4.5. Any claim against the Organizer must be notified in writing within 30 days of the Event, failing which the claim is deemed waived.


4.6. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where such exclusion or limitation is not permitted under mandatory provisions of Belgian law.

5. Force Majeure

The Organizer shall not be held liable for any failure or delay in performance caused by circumstances beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, public health emergencies, government restrictions, strikes, or venue unavailability. In such cases, the Organizer will endeavor to reschedule or offer reasonable alternatives, without obligation to do so.

6. Data Protection (GDPR)

6.1. The Organizer processes personal data provided during registration (name, email, organization, dietary or accessibility needs where relevant) for the purposes of: managing registration and admission, communicating Event logistics, and, where consented, sending future communications about MoDi's activities.


6.2. The legal basis for processing is the performance of the ticket sale contract (Article 6.1.b GDPR) and, for marketing communications, consent (Article 6.1.a GDPR).


6.3. Registration and payment data (name, email, invoice details) will be retained for 7 years in accordance with Belgian accounting and tax law. Data collected solely for marketing communications will be retained for 1 year from the Event date or until consent is withdrawn, whichever is earlier. Data will not be shared with third parties except as necessary for Event operations (e.g., venue security lists, payment processors) or as required by law.


6.4. Participants have the right to access, rectify, or request deletion of their data, and to withdraw consent to marketing communications at any time, by contacting info@monetarydiversity.org.

7. Image and Recording Rights

7.1. No recordings, images, or sound may be taken during the Event by Participants without the formal written consent of the Organizer.


7.2. By registering for and attending the Event, Participants agree to have their image used in the Organizer's own future communication materials, including videos and recordings of the Event, for the promotion of Monetary Diversity or for use in pedagogical content, without compensation.


7.3. Participants who do not wish to appear in such materials must notify the Organizer in writing prior to the Event at info@monetarydiversity.org. The Organizer will make reasonable efforts to accommodate such requests but cannot guarantee exclusion from wide shots, panel recordings, or group photography.


7.4. Attendees may not contact media outlets or represent the Event to third parties without the Organizer's prior written consent.

8. Intellectual Property

Presentations, materials, and content shared during the Event remain the property of their respective authors or speakers, unless otherwise agreed. Recording or redistribution of session content by Participants requires prior consent from the speaker and the Organizer.

9. Code of Conduct

Attendees must respect all participants and the venue. The Organizer reserves the right to remove individuals who violate this policy, without refund. There are no age restrictions for the Event. Accessibility is ensured for attendees with disabilities.

10. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by Belgian law. Any dispute arising from these Terms or the Event shall fall under the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Liège, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer protection provisions.
